Hearing Assessments

Hearing tests are performed in a soundbooth with up-to-date computer-based equipment. They include case history, video otoscopy, tympanometry (middle ear function test) with reflex decay, speech, and air and bone conduction audiometry. Results will be explained and recommendations made.

Waterless Earwax Removal

Earwax is essential to protecting the inner workings of your ear because it helps trap foreign objects from entering. However, too much wax can lead to a blockage, which can result in earaches, ringing in the ears, decreased hearing, or dizziness. Wax removal is best performed by a doctor since the ear canal and eardrum are delicate and can be damaged easily.

We include wax removal in our Outer Ear Inspection. That means that our audiologist does an inspection of the health of the ear up to and including the eardrum. If there is wax in excess of what is normal, that is removed and if the appearance of the eardrum causes concern, then tympanometry is done as well. Wax removal is provided for free by many doctors, but because we are a private clinic, we must charge for these types of appointments. Our Outer Ear Inspection appointments are best suited for those experiencing hearing loss or discomfort due to impacted wax, rather than those concerned with hygiene or curiosity.

Hearing Aid Sales & Fittings

We provide sales and fittings for new and resetting for current hearing aids. This includes Real Ear Measurements (REM), which graph what that hearing aid is doing in your particular ear. There is a 60-day trial period on all new fittings. Cutting-edge hearing aid accessories are also available.
